Armor Evolution

Some pics as my armor was changed.....many times. (In the last two pics of this post, I am wearing completely new beskar'gam in addition to some old pieces. The new armor was crafted by Genesis Barthelmess. Check her out in SL. She makes great items.)

Just additional pics of the cantina from the last post.

Seems, I've been spending a lot of time on Nar Shaddaa recently. Maybe it's the abundance of sith, crime lords, and Mandalorians. Or maybe, just maybe, it's the cantinas. Here are some pics. (It's really the mandalorians, but eh, twi'leks don't hurt.)

On yet another trip to Nar Shaddaa, I ran into a Mandalorian Cantina. Here are some of the Mando'ade I met. (Yes, these pics were taken before I painted my beskar'gam in darker colors. I just hadn't had the chance to upload them)

The following are just pics from Korriban.

The new darker me.

So I've been roleplaying as Justin Dark'wyr, a Mandalorian Ram'ser (A sniper), and I thought to myself "His baskar'gam is too cheerful for a man who lost his entire family to a Sith." So I messed with the textures again, trying to give him this new 'Dark look.' This is what I came up with. {Note, it may change time and time again}

So I stopped by Nar Shaddaa. I found some other Mando'ade. Here are a few pics from my trip.

So after a while of role playing, I decided that my character's Beskar'gam (literally means iron skin in Mando'a. For you noobs, it's armor) was too "new." I fixed this however. I changed the textures a bit, and added different colors to add to the effect. Following is a little bit on Beskar'gam from wookieepedia.

Throughout Mandalorian history, three major features remained constant in Mandalorian armor design:
  1. The wearer was protected from the majority of all blaster fire. Armor made of actual Mandalorian iron, which could also deflect blaster bolts, made it lightsaber-resistant.
  2. The helmets almost always possessed a T-shaped visor and a sophisticated heads-up display (HUD).
  3. Mandalorian warriors decorated their armor to reflect personal accomplishments, clan affiliation, or simply personal preference. They often repainted their armor to reflect rank, clan, and possibly the current terrain. They were also known to paint their armor in the traditional colors that represented specific causes the individual might currently be undertaking. The colors, however, did not always have a specific meaning. Sometimes they were just colors that the particular Mandalorian liked. Some Mandalorians wore pieces of armor to honor relatives, both dead and alive.[9] As of the Clone Wars, these colors were known to have significance:
    1. Gray=Mourning a Lost Love
    2. Red=Honoring a Father[10]
    3. Black=Justice[9]
    4. Gold=Vengeance[9]
    5. Green=Duty[9]
    6. Blue=Reliability
    7. Orange=A Lust for Life[7]

I'm not going to use much galactic basic (English for you noobs). Instead, I'll be posting in Mando'a. So learn the language. ;)
